Meet Ayesha Dawley. 10 years ago, you would have seen a working mom of twins, with an outwardly successful job in media sales. But, every day she dreaded her daily commute and questioned how she could get unstuck from a career she’s spent 20 years building.
Then, aged 38, after a regular mole check, Ayesha learned she had melanoma. After 5 years of arduous treatment and follow up, she was given the all-clear. Her life was saved, and also changed forever.
Around that time, she was introduced to Beautycounter, the company leading the clean beauty movement in its fight against toxic chemicals. She began to advocate the brand to her friends, then became a consultant. She realized that she had the opportunity to literally shape the life she wanted - more freedom, more impact, more connection. But she knew she’d need a plan, and that it wasn’t going to be easy.
After several years of hard work, Ayesha was promoted to Managing Director, which enabled her to quit her “cubicle job” full time, and dedicate her time to building her business and helping others.
In partnership with leadership coach Michael W Kithcart, who will guide our conversation, Ayesha will share:
how to get out of the feeling of being “unstuck”
how childhood experiences shaped her approach to hard work
what she learned about involving family and friends in her journey
the importance of focus, grit and consistency
