"Buzz Sessions" are get-togethers focused on helping you with your path, whether that's career, hobby or health focused, or simply to have fun.
When we feel good, we feel more motivated to act.
It sounds so good in theory!
Problem is, we tend to focus on the numbers on the scale, the distance, the speed or even what we're supposed to wear. When we don't "achieve" what we think we're supposed to, or look the way others do, we get demotivated.
So, what if we focused on how we felt, and viewed that as an accomplishment?
Paul Horan, GEAR's owner gave up his day job to chase his passion a few years ago - owning a running store. He'll take us through the basics of running and give some tips for how to improve form.
Olivia Klinker is GEAR's store manager, fitness trainer and nutrition expert. She'll share tips on what to focus on when you're trying to make a change in your routine.
After the knowledge comes action.....Paul and Olivia will lead us in a short workout ..so come with your sneakers on! (We'll provide beverage and KIND bars so you'll have plenty of fuel.)
Who is this session for?
- If you want to get healthier and need inspiration to start.
- If you're someone who runs (fast or slow, long or short), this session will help you remember the basics and improve your form.
- If running strikes the fear of god into you, yet you secretly want to see if you can do it (or think you "must") then come and try it out. You never know, you may just like it.
- You just want to make some new friends and have fun...
This is a FREE event, however in the spirit of women helping women we will gratefully accept donations for Ascension Place, the Minneapolis organization that helps women in crisis or transition. Come with a dollar or twenty - whatever works for you.
